« on: May 16, 2006, 07:20:50 PM »

I can use it to set up the perimission to the directory temp and complete or this is not possible????

I should want that this two directories have this set up (nobody can view the file inside) if possible in amule????

I want this because in this moment the p2p network is insicure than before:RIAA and so on.............. :]

Is possible all this or No ???

Thanks

PS: this is only a request for a major sucurity not to need ghost indecent or obscene file, this is sure  ;)

Uhm, I have no idea if I understood your questions right, so here are some guesses as answers:
The whole thing is about the permissions of the files that are created on your harddrive. No matter what you set here, files will still be shared. And the whole thing is quite obsolete, it has been removed on SVN, files / directories will be created according to your umask.

thanks

Infact my answer was just this: by amule I can put restricted permission on temp and complete directories so other not see the file inside ???

Now I known that not is possible by amule...........the directories will be shared with their files.

Thanks  :)

No, you can't. You can't prevent imcomplete files from being shared and you can prevent complete files from being shared only by moving them out if that directory. But think twice before doing that and remember: The fact that you were able to download it is possible only because someone uploaded it to you. That's why it's called "sharing", not just "downloading".

Preventing others from being able to see what you are sharing is technically impossible.

yes I know.............

use emule/amule from a long time............

Anyway I think that amule  now o later will be changed with p2p of 3° generation, in this moment is the best p2p but I have tried ANts and the only thing that haven't is the people on the network, but when they arrived will be a good thing.......

For now  :baby: to aMule

 ;)
