Searching gives no results
« on: July 02, 2006, 03:11:07 PM »

Hi all

I use Cent os 4.3 with all updates in place. I installed amule-2.0.0-1.2.el4.rf.i386.rpm from rpmforge. Installation was fine and I always get a high id. But No matter what I search I do not get
any results.

The same search keywords produce results when I run amule 2.1 in BSD or windows, even in low id.

Is Centos the problem or is amule 2.0 ver the problem. All firewalls in both my router and in OS are off. Other p2p apps like limewire work fine.. I cannot upgrade to the latest version due to dependenci issue in Cent os.

Thanks

Easwaran

well

2.0.0 might be using some old server communication thats why teh server is not responding anymore to your search query,
can you try a kad search or same result?

what also might be an issue is taht you might be connected to a fake server, which one do you use?

You need a more recent version of aMule.
There was a change in the server protocol which requires you to connect to an old server (if you find one, I think the last version before the change was 17.3) or to upgrade aMule.

You're wrong, Stefanero, Kad was introduced in aMule 2.1.0. See the changelogs.
