i'm running os x 10.4.7 and connecting to a netgear router.  the wireless internet connection is stable when not running aMule, and both aMule and the internet is stable when using an eithernet cable to connect.  

when running aMule wirelessly, the connection drops and reappears every 30 seconds to 5 minutes.  I'm connected with a High ID, but nothing downloads.  Uploads seem to work fine.

any ideas?

Hi alex!

Try to lower your connection settings (try a value of about 200-250) and your max. connections/5s (try 20). If it still doesn't work try to disable kad.
This are afaik the main flaws with ed2k+wireless.

Ok, I changed the Max Sources Per File to 250, Max Connections to 20, and deselected Kademila and I'm still dropping the connection.  Am I changing the right settings?

do you mean the update frequency?  i changed that from 5 to 20 and left the rest of the changes, and i'm still getting kicked off repeatedly.  it actually doesnt show the connection dropping in the upper tool bar, but the effect is the same.  in addition, i can't use the search function anymore.  i'm still connected with a high ID.

A value of  20 for "max new connections / 5s" might actually already be a bit high. I would first try 5 and if that works then try increasing the value to 10.

Even bringing this down to 5 still has no effect.  I'm still getting kicked off before any of my downloads can start.

I have been having the same problem, although I did not try to connect with the cable and did not realize it had something to do with the wireless connection. What I did realize, though, was that aMule kept on working perfectly while on my computer no other program seemed to be able to access the internet.

Still, the solution is to lower the maximum number of connections in the aMule configuration -- "Max Connections" under "Preferences". Looking at the statistics I saw that "Peak Connections" was 169, and that "Average Connections" was around 140. Therefore, I set the Max Connections parameter to 120, and now the other programs can access the internet while aMule is open.

I still have done enough tests to see how this affects the performance of aMule.
