I am on a Mac OS X 10.4 with amule ver. 2.1.3:

I have been trying to connect to any of the donkeyservers for the past several days to no avail. Any other server does not working for me. I think it is because I only download Korean files, and I guess people with those files are mostly on donkeyserver.

Does anyone know if the donkeyservers are down? I've been trying for donkeyservers no. 1, 2, 3. I've restarted my computer/amule/etc. and re-dled the servers several times.

PLEASE HELP!! I haven't been able to dl anything and it's been driving me insane!!!

Are you sure you have the correct DonkeyServer no2? Not the fake ones? You might want to search the forum a bit for some ip addresses of genuine servers.

The Donkeyserver used to be down for a few hours. But now they are up again.

But you know that it didn't deepence on what server you are? After a few minutes you get your sources anyway.

i learned that my problem is not with servers, but with my low id.
i had high id and everything was downloading fine, but for some reason,
i keep getting low id. it's been like this for about a week. i've put it in all
the correct ports by looking them up. (and i know it isn't a fake server bc
they're the same ones i used before.)

can anyone tell in better detail how to get high id? i've changed the tcp/udp,
and the max for downloading/uploading. i don't have any firewalls on... i have
no idea what the problem is!! PLEASE someone.. anyone.. help would be greatly
appreciated. whatever server i'm on, nothing downloads bc of the darn id.

You need to forward the ports that aMule uses in your router. Take a look at http://portforward.com/routers.htm, that page has detailed step-by-step instructions for pretty much every router on the market.

aMule uses three ports (see Preferences->Connection) that need to be forwarded:

• a client TCP port
• a client UDP port (this is the above port +3)
• and an eMule extended UDP port

Also, if you are running any firewall software (e.g., OS X's built-in firewall, which you can control via System Preferences->Sharing->Firewall) on your computer, you need to open the above ports there as well.

You can use the connection tester to check whether the client TCP port can be reached from the outside, that is, whether it is forwarded properly in your router and not blocked by any firewall software.
