Hi alessia!

Please try to start aMule in a terminal and post the output here.

If you can't wait: ;) Rename the folder ~/Library/Application Support/aMule to ~/Library/Application Support/aMule_old and try again to start aMule.

Ciao!

In order to start aMule through the terminal, do the following:
Quote
  • Control-click on the aMule application icon in the Finder and select 'Show Package Contents'.
  • Navigate to Contents/MacOS where you should see the file 'amule'.
  • Open Applications -> Utilities -> Terminal.
  • Drag the amule file from the Finder and drop it in the Terminal window. Terminal will insert the path to the application onto the command line.
  • Hit return to start aMule.
  • aMule will then produce some output in the terminal window. Copy that output and post it here on the forums.

this is the output
"Last login: Wed Nov  8 15:40:39 on ttyp1
Welcome to Darwin!
34:~ alessia$ /Applications/aMule.app/Contents/MacOS/amule
Initialising aMule
Checking if there is an instance already running...
There seems to be an instance of aMule already running
If this is not the case, you may have to remove
the file ~/.aMule/muleLock, to allow aMule to run.
Attempting to raise current running instance.
34:~ alessia$ "

I think that I have to remove  the file ~/.aMule/muleLock...
... but I will wait for your answer before making it...
also because I didn't find this file!!

thankyou so much

ciao...

Yes you should. :)

Oh on Mac (damn these constant mac exceptions :P) it's on ~/Library/Application Support/aMule .

Edit: And thanks for pointing this little error out, I'll fill a bug report.
