Ah, now I see.

Sorry, I'm currently unable to build x86_64 binaries and I have no idea whether the i586 binaries are working on x86_64.

If they do, it's good luck because I cannot test them. I'd recommend to build aMule yourself. You can rebuild the source RPMs for your platform.

  • I use Suse from ver. 4.5 but I'm not a power user... :-)

Only to add that on my hardware (X86_64) it crashes too.
I use the X86_64 version of amule on openSuSE 10.2 X86_64 from the packman additional package collection.

I can act as a dummy monkey and try or do all You want suggest to me to inquire the cause.
I know how to do a ./configure, make, make install but I have only vague idea of the other things (C++ code, .h include files, pre-processor options, or other...  :]

Best regards

This thread is not about Packman packages!

Unfortunately Packman people are not involved here, so you either have to contact them on your own or produce a decent backtrace and post it to the backtraces forum.

Once again: This thread is called "SUSE 10.2 (i586)", I don't have access to x86_64 hardware currently and can therefore neither provide x86_64 binaries myself nor debug other people's ones.

Packman distributes binaries of released versions only, so you might suffer from a bug that has been fixed since long ago already. Sorry, but as this forum section is about "Packages for development versions", you're off topic here.

Very sad to see this.
I can provide a ftp/http space to upload amule packages for SuSE.
We need rpms.

Sorry, I am not maintaining this repository any more (maybe I should have made that clear earlier...), and I cannot maintain it because I'm not using 10.2 any more. If you have webspace and want me to provide packages, I can do that, but only for 11.0 (when it gets released, which will be soon). Right now my system is something between 10.3 and 11.0 and therefore unusable to build binaries that are supposed to run on other systems.
