search window doesn't work
« on: November 19, 2006, 02:49:28 PM »

Recently I update Amule from 2.0x to 2.1.3.

All looks like ok, connection to servers and kad works, downloads and uploads go ... only ...

search window doesn't work

for sake of precision, search doesn't give any results (not on servers, not on kad, never global) even with files that I know are very shared.
Search dosn't start al all!

I don't know if it's related but, also the Tabs of Log & Info on the window networks are always blank.

For the moment I start searches in Emule (I've a dual boot, with Windows and Emule in another partition) ant then I reboot with Linux, but this is a boring method, so, if anyone has some idea to solve the problem ... any suggestions is good accepted!

Thanks
 :)

Which distro are you using? and did you compile wxGTK/aMule yourself, or used some packages?

Regards.

I update Amule from 2.0.x to 2.1.3.

Amule 2.0.x worked fine.
At that tima (about 1year ago) I used some rpm.

Even nov, for the upgrade, I use the packages downloaded here:
http://www.savefile.com/projects/768398

Then, from console, on the directory of the dowbloaded, the command,

first:

rpm -Uvh test *.rpm

it seemed to work,

second:

rpm -Uvh *.rpm

the installation was completed without apparent errors ...

the surprise when I started to use search for the first time  ;(

Ideas?

used locate to serch, find and destroy any files related to amule (excepted those of config & credits)
re-downloaded by the link belove new rpm packeds for my distro
rpm test by konsole
