Here's my canned port forwarding reply:

Quote
You need to forward the ports that aMule uses in your router. Take a look at http://portforward.com/routers.htm, that page has detailed step-by-step instructions for pretty much every router on the market.

aMule uses three ports (see Preferences->Connection) that need to be forwarded:
  • a client TCP port
  • a client UDP port (this is the above port +3)
  • and an eMule extended UDP port
Also, if you are running any firewall software (e.g., OS X's built-in firewall, which you can control via System Preferences->Sharing->Firewall) on your computer, you need to open the above ports there as well.

You can use the connection tester to check whether the client TCP port can be reached from the outside, that is, whether it is forwarded properly in your router and not blocked by any firewall software.

Good luck. :)

Hi tinkerbellarulz.
If you put static IP then be sure to put also DNS ip address (IP address of your router) otherwise you will be connected but without internet.
However sometimes even if you don't use static ip you configure your router. So your router give you IP address and then you forward to your address. If your router changed the IP for you then you will have to do it again.
Open aMule and check the ports usually:
TCP 4662
UDP 4672
TCP 4665

So open your router webpage. Find where to fordward ports
put your ip address. In Windows type ipconfig /all
in command prompt (go to Start>Run>cmd) and hit enter
take IP address then put it in your router and enter TCP 462
UDP 4672
TCP 4665

Everything should go fine !!
