There is a small team of coders, which want to develop an edonkey/emule net client, which is working over the i2p.net network.
This has been done sucessfully with the gnutella client phex, see the forum for i2phex. The application got base-64-keys, which replaced the IP adress-references in the application.
We want to do the same for the emule app.
First, there is the approach to use the code, which is usable on windows and linux, so amule is perfect for that.
Second, the Name a-mule stands perfectly for anonymous mule.
(see ML Donkey, it was the name from OCAML-language, but the branding was then to be a *M*_U_*L*_TI-Donkey and they were technically the first team, to have gnutella and torrent hybridity in, earlier than shareaza, though shareaza then more popular.
Back to amule, if you maybe later want to collaborate, then we could brand it anonymous-mule and we would get ahead of emule...
till that, the architecture is just to use the code in this way:
1. amule code with base-64-keys over i2p
2. amule code as it is , with IP.
The new gui then has both under one hood:
and there is a button to start
a) 1
b) 2
c) both.
So we can even swarm anonymous and non-anonymous transfers for the same ed2k link.
Can you support us in creating a code base on amule, which has base 64-keys for i2p.net like i2phex ?
If not... maybe later we can merge the name amule to anonymous mule ...
