Crash on SSH
« on: December 23, 2006, 12:35:58 AM »

Hi all!
I have Ubuntu Hoary on a Server wich starts without X.
I use ssh to control and launch amuled on my linux server .

I start connectin via ssh then i start my amule with :

amuled &

then , i disconnect from ssh and i control with webserver .

All works great but after less then 24 hour i can't connect throught webserver and also i can't connect with ssh ... i receive a timeout error ...

My server is crashed ...

The log file of amule is so big (115 Mb) and the last things i see is this :

Quote
2006-12-23 00:48:05: Connessione a Butthead's Server (66.172.60.130:4661) fallita per time-out
2006-12-23 00:48:05: Servers: Trying to connect

There are a Lot (all log file) of "Persa connessione" which it means in "Lost connection"

What can i do? There's a problem with ssh? I can't run my daemon from ssh?
I don't know what to do ..  :(

I've tryed to disable KAD but the problem it still here .. :(

globalspace,

There is no problem with ssh. I think you have a bad server.met file. Try to use one that you know for sure that has servers that work. The "Lost Connection" errors mean that you are not beeing able to connect to these servers.

Or, it may also be that your ISP is blocking ed2k traffic.

Good luck!

thanks phoenix :)

i've found a server.met file in " http://ed2k.2x4u.de/index.html "

i've done wget http://ed2k.2x4u.de/index.html and put it into the amule folder .. i really don't know where i can find another server.met ..
My provider (Telecom Italia) doesn't block ed2k download beacuse i use amule with no problem on MacOS :)

ps. I don't understand why amule (or ssh?) crashes ... it could simply says me "Disconnect"

My best advice is: write "serve.met" in google.

You can take a look here too: http://www.emule-project.org/home/perl/help.cgi?l=1&topic_id=131&rm=show_topic
