n00b question: Can't get client to start
« on: February 27, 2004, 09:33:19 PM »

As it will soon become apparent, I am about as new to linux as you can get. So please excuse my ignorance.

I am running Red Hat 9.0.  I downloaded and installed aMule-1.2.6-1.i386-RH_9.0.rpm. It looked like it installed correctly, because it went through all the same steps that it goes through when installing other packages. After the install was complete, an executable file named "amule" appeared in /usr/bin. I executed it by typing "amule", and I got the following message:
Code: [Select]
[root@hurtbox root]# cd /usr/bin
[root@hurtbox bin]# amule
Initialising aMule

OOPS! - Seems like aMule crashed
