stop downloads

Hello,
I'm trying to stop one download but I don't succeed...
I tried "ctrl" then clicked on the actual download but nothing happens.
Can anybody help me
and tell me how to proceed to stop downloading ?

To control-click (which is how you access the context menu), you press and hold the control key while clicking.
