aMule chokes my Internet speed...
« on: January 18, 2007, 07:28:32 AM »

I recently noticed that my Internet connectivity almost ground to a stop after starting aMule (v. 2.1.3) on my 3 GHz Mac Pro running OS X 10.4.8.  My connection is normally about 760 kbps (95 kB/sec) down and 120 kbps (15 kB/sec) up, but after starting aMule, it was going down to 8 kbps (1 kB/sec) and 3 kbps (0.3 kB/sec) respectively.  I have to restart the machine and not run aMule to get normal bandwidth.
Has anyone had a similar experience and/or have any ideas how to resolve this issue ?  Is there anything in the aMule Preferences to fix this ?
Thanks !
