my system is ubuntu 7.04 i installed amule using synaptic manager, I opened amule and tried to download the server list, then it crashed:

Same for me..  Ubuntu 7.04 installed with Automatix   I even tried starting aMule using sudo.  No difference.

You are using a different version than we are.  Yours works, our newly downloaded versions don't.

I see, you've got the point, except for the newly.

This is fixed in current developmental versions and I advise you therefore to upgrade. We have no influence over distribution package and do not support them.
