Hi all,

Just downloaded amule 2.1.3 from various sources on to my OS 10.3.9. And so far, never got the application running after dragging it to "my applications" folder and double-clicking it. I see the donkey logo flashing at the bottom of my desktop for a few seconds then it disappears and nothing happens.
Does anyone have a clue about this ?
Thx in advance for any help. Note that I'm not a Mac specialist, so be indulgent.

Hi go4mba,

Have you downloaded aMule-2.1.3-Mac_Panther.zip?

If yes, then please open a terminal and drag the aMule icon in the terminal to see the output of aMule when failing to start.

Hi Wuischke,

Thx for providing me with this link. First thing I noticed is the different size of the file. And the installation succedeed at the first attempt. No need to track the bug further.
Don't know where you posted your message, but be aware that you made a French mac-beginner happy in Paris.
Bye,

  • Mac OS X 10.4 (Power Mac G5)

My guess is you either downloaded a version that requires 10.4 or you downloaded one of my cvs builds that need to be started through the terminal with a particular option.

Anyway, glad it's working for you now. :)
