It works ok in my computer, but sometimes gets my RAM full, and my Swap memory too, and then crash. And the memory restore the normal levels.

Hi Carcass,

Quote
Terminated after throwing an instance of 'CSeekFailureException'
what(): SafeIO::IOFailure::SeekFailure: Seeking failed: Invalid argument
        backtrace:

This looks like a problem with your local file system/files. Please rename your config folder (/home/user/.aMule) to something different and try starting aMule again.

If it starts now, stop aMule, copy your system files back (all files inside the config folder, but NO files from the Incoming and Temp folders) and try to start aMule again.
If it works, try copying the files from the Temp folder as well. If it crashes, try to find out which file causes the crash.

Is there still the

in the log, when you use the stable version? (I mustn't in neither version, when you renamed your .aMule folder.)

I use the stable version in this case because CVS is not stable (but I use ever CVS and I never have problems)

Can't be. Renaming the folder will create a new config file and it will use the ~/.aMule/temp folder for temporary files. But you still have some shared files left.

Please execute the following in a terminal and see if it crashes:
Code: [Select]
mv ~/.aMule ~/.aMule-old
amule

I explain to you:

my temporany folder is on another drive that is in fat FS and is shared with XP (tha I use sometimes)

my complete folder is in my /home/

but this situation is from the first time to use Linux (over three years ago) and I never have problems......

Now: when you say to rename the folder and after back the file is the same thing to delete the profile of ~/.aMule/ and start again for the first time when I start up aMule CVS.......

Anyway I try again that you say before, if crash I use your suggest command from bash.......

After this I post here and see what happens....

thanks so so much .................... :)
