Hi,

ich weiß das Thema kommt wahrscheinlich öfters, allerdings hat mir keiner der Tips zu diesem Thema aus der Forumssuche weitergeholfen. Auf jeden Fall schonmal Danke für jede Hilfe.

Auf meinem System läuft Debian Sarge mit Gnome 2.4 problemlos.
aMule habe ich aus Sid installiert und bekomme jetzt beim Start:
"GtK-Warning:** Cannot find Display:"
Allerdings unabhängig davon ob ich es als User oder Root versuche und auch ohne weitere Fehlermeldungen. Xhost quittiert den Dienst ebenfalls mit der gleichen Fehlermeldung.
Auch die neueste Version aus eurem Repository bringt keine Änderung.
Ich möchte auch nicht meine GtK-Versionen mit Nicht-Debian-Paketen überschreiben, daß würde den Sinn des Paketmanagements irgendwie hinfällig machen.

Ok, ich bin einen Schritt weiter, befürchte aber daß die folgende Meldung bedeutet, daß etwas mit GtK nicht stimmt, bzw. die Debian-Version von aMule Probleme mit der Debian-Version von GtK hat, richtig?

Hat auch nichts gebracht, alle laut Debian für aMule erforderlichen Pakete sind installiert. Keine Veränderung.
