Extreme size difference with debug info and without debug info
« on: February 09, 2008, 02:52:24 PM »

* With debug info:
amule_20080209-1nadock7.10_i386.deb    02/09/2008       7.01 MB

* Without debug info:
amule_20080209-1-op-nadock7.10_i386.deb    02/09/2008       6.66 MB

Is this normal?

in my experience, amule monolithic stripped is about 5MB, but amule with full debug information can be as big as 20MB or more. What you have is probably a regular amule binary, but not stripped. After stripping it, it just reduces a bit.

Regards.
