Signal to reload shared files?
« on: November 07, 2003, 07:13:13 AM »

Hi,
Is there any way to signal to aMule to reload it's shared files?

I'm often away from home for extended periods of time and would like to be able to log in remotely to my box and send SIGUSR1 or similar to the aMule process to get it to reload the shared files.

Other than that it's working really, really good now!

Hi all,

yes, IŽm too find this idea good, that aMule looks from time to
time in the shared-folders. The reason is, that when I sometimes
rename or move downloaded files, aMule doesnŽt find it again...

Maybe it could remember the inode-number instead of the filename,
Žcause this wouldnŽt change, even if you rename the file. Surely
this would not help, if you move the file somewhere, Žcause the inode
changes...

Or would it somehow possible to "watch" the share-folders with
"select()" or something like that?
