I've seen this too, with the same tarball:
Linux, Ubuntu Hardy, wxgtk 2.8.7, it's in the Preferences>Directories>Shared directories.

We'll wait for the original poster's answers, so we may know if it's a distro's issue. BTW: Isn't Hardy in beta?

Regards.

Edit: It happens the same on my Debian lenny system, where aMule SVN from March 22 worked perfectly AFAICT.

Which distro/wxgtk version? since so far only debian/ubuntu have been reported with the bug.

Regards.

It's a wxGTK problem with some gtk version and theme.

I used the aMule SVN 2008-03-29 with Ubuntu 7.10 and the same version of wxGTK and that problem did not appear.

But using the 2008/04/12 tarball it happens.

I repeat that neither wxGTK nor the theme has changed from one version to another

Same issue here with Mandriva 2008.0 I build new rpms every now and then with the exact same  spec for 2 years now. I have  been using wxGtk 2.8.7 almost since it was out (See my mail in specific deliveries). There is no issue in SVN as of April 2nd (the last one I used before). I can see the issue in today's April 13th tarball.
Opening the pref tab for directoroies;, I can see the triangle for / only, when I hit it to unfold the directories, no tree appears.

See this snapshot

Could someone please try if this happened between April 3rd and April 4th? (ref: r8333)

My HDD is still going crazy at random and features at least 932 defect sectors, I would like to keep the status quo as long as possible and not stress it without having to...

Verified. 8332 is fine, 8333 is broken (wxGTK 2.8.7, Ubuntu 7.10).
No problem on Windows though.
You really should get a new one once it starts showing bad sectors, Wuischke.  ;)
