To be honest about the server prize, yes, it's expensive, it's hosted on
http://www.ngz-server.de/rootserver/rootserver.php and it was chosen a long time ago. So far it's been reliable and the expenses had been covered by a single donor whenever we needed payment and there were no enough donations. You can check the prize at the website to see we're not fooling you, and it's a pretty powerful server with a big pipe - which helps us when we're DDOSed, which is more often than you would think.
Having a dedicated server is expenbsive and luxurious, but other services we've had in the past haven't lived up to the needs we had, of configuration, bandwith and other needs. Also good luck finding people wanting to host a server for a p2p project, even if it does no P2P at all.
To those that think the program is crappy/unstable/that we're the scum of the earth and don't want to donate, have a happy life thinking that. It's a DONATION, because noone is forcing you to donate. You don't want to donate, go ahead, but posting here how righteous you are because the application is a piece of shit? That's just childish and pathetic. How old are you, twelve? The application is free - and it will remain free, I don't agree with selling binaries either, it would involve licenses and other stuff that's just annoying. If you don't like a free application, either find a different free application you like or pay for a better one.
