aMuled 100% load after a while depending on .dat files
« on: November 08, 2008, 09:04:51 AM »

Hi
I have aMule 2.2.2 compiled by my self against wxWidgets 2.8.7 on a Kurobox (PowerPC). I have it working properly but after a while the amuled takes 100% CPU load. It continues to work, but the downloads are affected and become less efficient. Also amuleweb is difficult to use (very slow). I found that if I remove .dat files inside amule home I get amuled working ok with just around 15% CPU load. Can it be anything releated to cryptkey and protocol obfuscation? Bye

which files _exactly_ do you remove to get aMule working again? also, do you restart aMule after removing the files?

Regards.

I was just trying to selectively remove dat files. It really seems to have to do with cryptkey.dat and preferences.dat. Before removing files I allways shutdown both amuled and amuleweb, then I restart them. Amuled doesn't really stop working, but taking around 100% of CPU it barely stop amuleweb. Bye!
