Probolem connecting to sources.
« on: May 23, 2009, 08:29:25 PM »

Well, I don  know if  it is actually a problem or not. Just to understand.
In the screenshot attached you can see that the file downloading has more than 430 sources, but only 39 are connected, actually all the not connected sources appear like you can see in the screenshot, "Unknown state".
For this file and for some others is always like that, but not all of them, other files download fine and quite fast.  The screenshot has been taken after 14 hours of connection, but after two days is the same.
The Statistic window says that the maximum of allowed connections (750 in this case, just to try...) has never been reached.
Obviously the file is dowloading from some days but only 20 %  has downloaded.
Is it normal? or there is something wrong?

eDonkeyServer No2 can be well saturated....

What ping you have with that server?

Festor, why do you think the problem is related to the server? Except if it is a server that sends junk sources? The sources are there, then it shouldn't matter anymore where they came from.

luquino, do you have an IP filter? Maybe it's blocking a range it shouldn't block ?
How many files are you downloading ? What priority have you assigned to this file ? What happens if you change prio to "high" for a change?

Yes I have IP filter downloaded from  http://blocklistpro.com/download-center/ip-filters/

At the moment of the screenshot there were about 70 files downloading, you can see in the screenshot, now they are less...

Never assign priority to the files downloading, I left it to aMule to decide that

I' ll try tonight to change the prio to High.

Ok, changing the prio to high fixes the problem, now 95 % of sources get connected.
What does it mean?
