text colour in transfer/search window

how do i change the colour, its very difficult to read as it's really pale! i can't see an option in preferences
i'm on ubuntu 8.10

That's fixed, but only in 2.3 IIRC. For older versions you have to choose a theme without a dark background.

I don't know why, but didn't the problem persist even though you change the skin? See here for the ticket.
