Crash in the Transfer Screen
« on: December 08, 2009, 02:39:47 PM »

Hi,
O.S.; Suse 11.0
aMule version; 2.2.6
uL limit;3000 kB
dL limit;19000 kB
Real bandwidth capacity; 100/100 mbit

Whenever i switch to the Transfers window, aMule is getting slower; uL and dL speed is dropping and GUI is freezing.
If  i switch to any other window quickly before GUI freeze, aMule is becoming normal again.

First of all: Hell what a fcking nice connection!!!

Then: Do you have a lot of downloads active?

Have you set a high slot speed? If not, you should!

In preferences->download queue files-> disable auto-sort files!

 For first and then

Maximum download 600kb, not important.

Slot Allocation 30kb/s

In preferences->download queue files-> disable auto-sort files! ==> Not ticked

Edit: we don't want to know what you are downloading!

That's the shared files window you posted (next time make the file names unreadable please). Is the problem with the shared files window or with the transfers window? How many transfers do you have? There is a problem in the GUI if the number is above 400 or so.  You can also try to disable the progress bars, they take a lot of CPU.

You should set the Slot Allocation to something much higher!

Try out 200 KB/s!

Looks like there is a problem with too many active downloads. Maybe the same as RRM's.
Blazer, do you still have the same total upload speed with 100k/s slot allocation? How many active uploads do you have when the GUI freezes with the old setting, and how many do you have now? Is there a sign of high memory usage when it freezes?

Dear Blazer,

right now aMule is not really optimized for such a transfer speed.

You should try with lastest svn and report back to us.

You may find packages in the packages subforum. Good luck!
