bug for eD2K?
« on: January 27, 2010, 07:33:15 AM »

I am not sure this is a bug:

I can't download a file if I use its eD2K link to add it to the "Transfers" (the status is always waiting). However, if I search the file from the "Searches" (type: local), I can download it without any problem.
It looks that the server doesn't want to tell me the source information when sending the eD2K request to it.

by the way, aMule version is 2.2.6.

Any suggestion will be appreciated.

Do you add the download as paused? Try "resume" from the context menu of the download.

Waiting is the status downloads have if you add them, unless you have selected "Add files to download in paused mode".
It takes some time until the downloading of the files start. Therefore I don't quite understand what you wrote.
How is this different from what happens when you add it through the search window? What is different? Do they start immediately?

When you start a download from a search, usually one or more sources (reported by servers) are immediately added to the download. Thus you don't have to wait for sources (although that shouldn't take long, either).

Exactly!
If I just download from the eD2K link without any source information included, will the client ask for sources' IP from the server soon?  It seems that the server doesn't reply the source information to me. Thanks!

I haven't paused the download.
Another issue is I can't continue to download after pausing the process.

Please describe in more detail what you experience. What does "I can't continue to download" mean here?
What do you see in the client? What is happening that shouldn't, what isn't happening that should? ...

Probably just a dead link with no sources.
You are not downloading the same link successfully through search right?

Yes. It might happen though, that none of the servers in your server list know of that file. However, if you can find the same file (same hash and size) via a server (either local or global) search, then something else causes the issue.

It's server's problem. Because when I update the server list, there isn't problem any more.

By the way, how to add arguments for resume and cancel command  in amulecmd?

Thanks for your supports!
