External connection disabled in config file

When I load/open aMule, I get the following message in the aMule Log: "External connection disabled in config file." What does said message mean and what -if anything- should I do about it? Please advise. Thanks.

That means you won't be able to use tools talking to aMule on its EC (External Connect) interface, such as amulecmd, amuleweb, amulegui. If you don't need any of these, you don't have to do anything.

Actually, leaving it disabled in this case means some additional security -- ensures that noone can hack your aMule through EC.

A little research you should have done before asking ;)

There is currently only one application (that I know of) that uses EC and is developed separately from aMule: P2P-GUI
