amuleweb not accessible from outside
« on: July 20, 2010, 09:27:51 AM »

Hello.

Amuleweb I have installed, and the router open port 4711 and 4712 ...
I can not access the amule web server from outside, but inside the home network if I can access.
This happens with the amule website and the amulegui. With amulegui I can access from the internal network from home, but not from outside.

I have ubuntu 9.04 installed.

What is the problem?

Do the other connections (KAD and/or ED2K) work? Meaning: do you have a green arrow for them in the client?

Yes, the connections KAD/Ed2k work correctly

The problem is, from my work, i can't access to the amule remotely, in  my house.
The ports 4711/4712 in my router is open.

My guess is that your system admin is blocking the ports at your office.

I don't see why this would work with eMule, but not with aMule.

Please check that the password, port, address (both when starting aMuleWeb and the aMuleDaemon/aMuleClient) is correct.

I don't enter the password in the emuleweb ... my firefox http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:4711

Return this message:

Unable to connect

Firefox can not establish connection to the server at xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx: 4711.

This is my router NAT/Virtual server configuration.

The intranet ip for my computer in my house is 192.168.1.3

If you mean amuleweb: I don't know if it works at all without a set password, but regardless of that: You are runing a public available service without any kind authentication? Are you crazy?

I have a password in the amuleweb.

He meant, that I can not amuleweb page to enter the password. Directly I get page not found error in firefox.

Well ddns doesn't help much if you enter an ip adress in your browser.

The xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is simbolic. Not the real address.

Could you perhaps try it from a different machine that's not in the office and outside the LAN?
