Hello,

This is probably not an aMule problem, but a Linux configuration.

I use aMule 1.2.6 with Mandrake 9.2 Linux box, that I access remotely with vnc (I have no screen for the Linux box). All works perfectly if I connect to the system each day. But if I forget, when I connect after 2 days, aMule is no longer running.

I just type "amule" in the Konsole, and it's OK again for one day.

Do you  have some hints?

What des deltaHF mean?

"the output from your console" <- open xterm (or aterm or wterm or rxvt, od whatever xconsole you use, that's indifferent) and execute aMule from there (type `amule`, easy, isn't it? :-P ) Now, when aMule crashes, paste here (in the forums) the output it displays in the xterm (or aterm or...) window.

a bt even better <- oh, sorry. deltaHF was mistaken here, he meant "a backtrace would be even much more definitly and wildly far more better" :-D To learn how to make a Backtrace, take a look at http://www.amule-project.net/amule/thread.php?threadid=298&sid=

Sorry for being so stupid...

I cannot produce any output from my console because when I come back to my system after two days, nor aMule is running, nor my console (Konsole)...

That's why I suppose that it is not an aMule problem, but some time-out somewhere in the system...

aMule crashes, that's a known issue, but it doesn't crash the terminal that calls it. So, if "konsole" "disappears", that's definitly either some app that's killing it _explicitly_ or that it's crashing. Try with some other xconsole (such as xterm, which is the stablest in earth). If it also crashes.. then you have a _severe_ problem on your system you should check. Anyway, the point is: it's not aMule's fault ;-P

I hope xterm doesn't crash...
