Gnome, ed2k limks and Firefox error
« on: November 11, 2010, 08:11:29 PM »

Hello,

I am using Ubuntu 10.10 and am trying to make ed2k links work in firefox 3.6.x.

I tried this solution:

http://forum.amule.org/index.php?topic=17323.msg93475#msg93475

But when I click on an ed2k link I get a pop-up window with a "connection refused" error.

I do have ed2k util installed.

What am I doing  wrong?

Thanks, Myth, it seems I missed the last firefox step. Now I don't get an error anymore,
but when click on an ed2k link, nothing happens at all.

Also I get the "Failed to download the version check file" message upon startup in the status bar on bottom-left.
I'm using ubuntu 10.10 if that makes any difference.

Well, last time I used it, I was asked for what program to use (choosing ed2k), and all worked fine!

Boy, do I feel stupid.

I forgot to install the amule-gnome-support package :-(

Works like a charm now :-)
