Hi again my aMule friends!
Welcome to the forum! Your English is fine, and will surely improve even more when you post here more.
I hope so!
- view folder name: sharing files without a meaningful name defeats the sharing concept in the first place.
aMule is not meant for private file exchange between friends, but for global sharing.
Sharing personal fotos there makes no sense and clogs up the global search database,
especially if they have meaningless names.
Since the name is the most important information published about the file to make it available for searches,
it should always describe the file well.
I think I don't have explained myself correctly... and that's, I think, because I have post it a horrible example,
sorry for that.
If someone have a collection, that are correctly named (meaningful names, and rates too
), and
had ordered it with sub-folders in order to put an extra layer of classification, often you try to
look on the same folder you find a interesting file, not the whole shared files.
I am suggesting to put another label on the search button that specify where the file is (like on emule).
That improvement it's relatively easy, because on the actual protocol, you receive the folder name
where the files are in.
Also the "view shared files" feature gets disused more and more.
Sorry but I don't thinks so!
I have the shared list of my shared files and random people look it like 20 times every 24 hours!
If you want to look for a special kind of films on the P2P net, it's usually that when you find
a guy that share one, have at least another film similar.
Think of it, it's just a comfort feature.
- sorry I can't follow you here.
Usually, when people ask for the list of your shared files, they have they shared list open it too.
But if you are not in front of the pc at that moment, you can't ask for her/him list,
because hi/she has disappeared from your know people.
I propose to have a list of the last people that has view the list of your shared files,
in order to, after you arrive to home, try to find some interesting files.
This feature it's easy to implement too, because when someone try to look the
list of your files the aMule already log it, so you have to put on a list where you can
see their proprieties like send a message or try to view her/him shared files.
And please don't mention names of bands and such, not even as an example. Forum rule.
Thanks very much for the advise!
I wouldn't do it again, or at least, I hope so.
The search algorithm does provide a way to do so.
Currently, you can combine keywords with the AND, OR and NOT operators.
The default combination operator is AND. So your example would become
"white rabbit NOT pussy NOT sex NOT xxx", and that just works.
Thanks for the information, it would be very useful.
I hope see you soon aMule guys!
