ed2k link handling
« on: December 01, 2011, 05:14:23 PM »

Hi everyone.

I´m currently using Iceweasel/Firefox 8 and aMule 2.3
The problem is that when I try to open an ed2k link from the browser, it won´t recognise the associated program to it, so i´m unable to open any link from into the browser. I have to copy/paste the link and add it manually to aMule.

I´ve tried http://wiki.amule.org/index.php/Ed2k_links_handling with no luck.

Might I be missing something?  Should I compile aMule with ed2k support?
My desktop environment is gnome3 and I can´t locate amule-gnome-support package, which used to work in the past. I´ve also tried google-chrome, however, i didn´t work either.

Thx in advance!!

Well - do you have the ed2k program in the path you told your browser?
If not you can just call amule and pass it the link as argument.
