installing amule on Centos 6
« on: December 29, 2011, 09:33:43 AM »

I am trying to install the i386 rpm from here

rpm -i amule-2.3.1-1.el6.gapf.i686.rpm

told me that it wants some other stuff installed

I did
yum install cryptopp
yum install gd
yum install geoip
yum install gettext
yum install
yum install libupnp
yum install wxGTK

but it says
warning: amule-2.3.1-1.el6.gapf.i686.rpm: Header V4 RSA/SHA1 Signature, key ID e8c347d7: NOKEY
error: Failed dependencies: is needed by amule-2.3.1-1.el6.gapf.i686

cryptopp package has installed /usr/lib/

How do I solve the missing file ?
what should I do now?

Thanks for the advise

I reinstalled Centos 6
I added the repoforge repository using instructions here

I installed the geoip cryptopp and wxgtk packages from repoforge using yum

The libupnp 1.6.6 package from repoforge didn't work (missing I have no idea why.

I installed the upnp package from here instead

Perhaps I should have used the package on the amule download page but no matter, amule installs and runs

Added the only good server

and it works!

Thanks for the help

The best way to use these packages is installing the repoforge repository and then the repo provided by me:
