Firewalled, Low ID with Vpntunnel
« on: December 18, 2014, 05:14:33 PM »

Hello I've vpn with vpntunnel.com. With their tunnelblik application I use the openvpn connection  and Amule is firewalled and Low ID ever. Ports, firewall are OK.

Now I've used the PPTP connection and the Amule finally has the suspired High iD and it's not firewalled.

How is the better way to use Amule? I'm not expert, please

It's always better to have a HighID and a non-firewalled status. Unless you have a reason not to do it, you should let it have a HighID.

Although PPTP is intended to be secure, it has its own flaws and vulnerabilities. Read more at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Point-to-Point_Tunneling_Protocol

Whether to use it or not depends on how much care about being absolutely secure.
