unfortunately it's not working, but in that case it's a library problem:
Code: [Select]
iMac-di-Michele:~ michele$ /Applications/aMule.app/Contents/MacOS/amuleweb
dyld: Library not loaded: /usr/local/lib/libpng16.16.dylib
  Referenced from: /Applications/aMule.app/Contents/MacOS/amuleweb
  Reason: image not found
Abort trap: 6

Ok, I will recompile it using the static version on the library...

Sorry, I forgot that detail ...

can someone tell me which binary version i should use? i've asked this question earlier but did not get a clear response. i am using macOS Sierra. should i use the binary from bubez811? or one of these from PepitoGrilloOSX? i do not need amuleweb/gui. what is the difference between different compilers? is wxWidgets 3.0.2 better than 2.9.5? how does wxWidgets compare to Boost OSXCocoa? how about 32 vs 64 bits? Thank you in advance.

I think you should try the "Recommended" version from the above post, and only try other ones if it doesn't work for you.

thanks for the reply. i guess i phrased my post incorrectly as i am also curious about the difference between all the binaries. what makes the recommended version here different than this one? http://forum.amule.org/index.php?topic=21391.0

is one compiler better than the other? how do different compilers affect the end user, assuming all are compatible with Sierra?
