kad no connect
« on: August 08, 2017, 08:36:20 PM »

Hello, thanks to your forum I found version 2.3.2 for OSX working.
I have high ID but I can not connect to the network kad.
I always found valid valid address.dat on the forum.
I read on the log: read 114 contacts
On the graph I see green lines, but it always says: connection is in progress
I left amule open all morning and afternoon but no kad connection
what can I do?

Do you have eD2k enabled? It might help to first connect to a server, start some downloads to have active clients in your client list, then enable Kad and let it build its node table from the clients you got from the server.

Please also check that your Extended UDP Port (4762 by default) is allowed on your firewall.

You will need to start a download. With the help of the servers aMule will get working peers and subsequently a Kad connection.

Over the years I made the experience that when you don't download that often and only have occasional uploads, that the Kad numbers will go down to the point of disconnection. That is why I always keep a download with zero sources in aMule :) so that Kad remains stable.
