Help aMule can't connect with anything
« on: January 11, 2018, 01:39:45 PM »

Hello, I re-downloaded aMule recently, I remember that it used to work, albeit slowly, in the past. Now though it doesn't connect to anything. Please help me.
I have Linux Mint, my network is fine, and I can download without issues with SoulSeek and torrent clients. After the installation, AMule couldn't connect, so I manually forwarded the ports in my router but nothing changed, it can't even download a new server list. It's like it has no access to the internet whatsoever. This is the output on startup and when I try to refresh the server list.
Code: [Select]
2018-01-11 13:35:06: HTTP: WARNING: Void response on stream creation
2018-01-11 13:35:06: Invalid response from HTTP download server
2018-01-11 13:35:06: Failed to download server.met from http://gruk.org/server.met.gz

For some reasons that I don't understand it works when i run it from terminal with:
Code: [Select]
amule -rStill, I would like to know what configuration parameter prevented it from connecting in the first place.
