aMule becomes slow... after 1 day
« on: May 23, 2004, 11:20:05 AM »

Hello and thinks for developpers of aMule, really good job ;)

My aMule works very well at the beginning and downloads at 40 KB/s after 10 mins :D
It' only use 11 % of 400MB of memory at the beginning.
But after 1 day, amule uses 50% of memory and the downlaod rate becomes very bad (5/10 KB), so i've to restart aMule...
I download about 40 files (of 700MB)
Do you think i've to add memory ?
Sorry for my horrible english !
Thanks to all, continue developping free software ;)

well, check your settings..

set verbose to off
set autopriority to off
set refresh dl/up list time to realtime
and be sure your wxgtk is linked against gtk1 and not gtk2

greets

yes, seems to be very better without auto-priority : 50% less of used memory after 1 day !
Thanks, Long life to our Mule and to p2p
