GTK2 vs GTK
« on: June 29, 2004, 05:22:01 AM »

In the instructions for compiling/installing amule it is said that wxgtk should be installed with disable-gtk2 and enable-gtk. How important is this?
If I compile wxgtk with enable-gtk2, will I be able to compile amule-2.0 (the final version) ? Will it run?

Thank you

Final version will. Current CVS version does. But all v2-RCs up to now and 1.2.x won't. That's because they only support wxWidgets up to 2.4.2 and up tu 2.4.2, wxWidgets doesn't support GTK2 :-|
SO expect a fully GTK2 v2 final version ;-)
Greetings!

u can link wxgtk 2.5.1 against gtk2 and compile amule cvs.. works ok but i after 3 days amule uptime a lot of memleaks.
look at the screenshots page, thats my amule with wxgtk 2.5.1 and gtk2

info:

1. NEVER link wxgtk 2.4.2 against gtk2
2. don't use wxgtk 2.5.2. is too buggy

I did a mistake and I compiled wxgtk (2.4.2) with enable gtk2. Now, I have to recompile it....

Thank you for the info
