file hashing and unrecognized....
« on: July 03, 2004, 12:11:55 PM »

I've 3 question....

-1-
When I start amule (2.0.0rc3) it start to hash my file....how can I don't' do this? cause this take a long time to do....

-2-
Amule find for example 200 shared file on my HD and 10 unrecognised (that are not counted in the sharing file folder). Why? How can I fix the problem?

-3-
I put INCOMINIG dir in a Fat32 partition....Amule tell me that amule disable chmod....it may be a problem or may I don't count it?

ps: sorry for the english....^_^

1 - Can't be done. It's "illega" to not share files. And files can't be shared without hashing.
2 - remove known.met and let it hash everyothing again (this will most surely fix the above problem too)
3 - Just igonore than message ;-)

BTW, more info on the initial hashing in aMule Common Problems FAQ at http://www.amule.org/wiki/index.php/AMule_problems in section Why_is_aMule_taking_so_much_CPU_resources_at_start-up?

Yeah ok tnx....I wanna share my file but before it was a very long thing....
Now it's really better!
I've removed my "known.met" file and start amule once again and now it find all my shared files and it hash them in 3/4 seconds! ^_^
