wxGTK-common-2.4.2-0.fdr.1.1 <<<<------ thtas not from here :)

maybe that is the cause of the error ;)

I am not sure if it is enought to remove taht rpm or maybe all together and then reinstall only the once from us....
you have to try that :)

twins, stefanero is right, all you should have is

wxGTK-2.4.2-1
wxBase-2.4.2-1
wxGTK-devel-2.4.2-1
wxBase-devel-2.4.2-1

And dont let apt-get update your wx packages with 2.4.2-3.fdr, it will not work. If you use apt-get, create a file /etc/apt/preferences with:
---------------- CUT HERE ------------------------------
Package: wxGTK
Pin: version 2.4.2-1
Pin-Priority: 989

Package: wxBase
Pin: version 2.4.2-1
Pin-Priority: 989
----------------- CUT HERE -----------------------------
Cheers!

wxBase-devel-2.4.2-1 isn't needed if u dl wxbase from our dl page (all-in-one rpm) ;)

ok.
Installed 128, repeating uninstall of everything.  Worked good as I'm sure 200rc4 would.
After some hours I had to switch off the PC. Now I tried to run amule and I had the same problem. I checked  'rpm -q | grep wx' , and I have the package I was warned not to have, the infame "wx packages with 2.4.2-3.fdr". Strange, I did not have it yesterday, and I'm sure I did not install it. Also, I would not know how to make FC update on his own, I know it's possible, but don't remember doing it. So, I unistalled this package, installed the one provided by you guys, and 128 started to work again (no reinstall).
So, apparently, the problem is the "self-installation" wxGTK package, not the wxGTK-common-2.4.2-0.fdr.1.1, which I have not uninstalled yet.

Can you please tell me how to get rid of a "auto-update" I may have running (without my knowledge) in my FC?

I got an answer on #fedora at irc.freenode.net thanks #fedora users for that:

[03:20] <*******> Jacobo221: rpm -e up2date up2date-nox; chkconfig --level 35 yum off
[03:20] <*******> :)

so try it, twins, and remember #fedora is a nice source for information :-)
