Date for kademlia support
« on: August 03, 2004, 02:35:13 PM »

Can any one tell me when kademlia will be supported -- even if it is early beta stage?

I know it is a summer time and all...
but looking at the code it looks like its almost there -- so i wonder if this is matter of weeks or months.

Hm, I'm no dev, but let my predict the answer nevertheless:

"It will be ready when it is done."

P.S.: I'd like to see Kademila support too, but the devs have other areas of main focus at the moment. I think we should respect that (after all, it's _their_ spare time).

hey - who said I have no respect for __THEIR__ time?

all I want to know from __AUTHORATIVE__ source when they are planning to get arround doing it!

and anyway thay are not doing it just for themselves --- aren't they?
if there is enough user demand for some features their development priorities might change -- is it not right?

I just think Kademilia is cool -- and i __happen__ to believe that many, many users will benefit from kad connectivity

Hopefully before the next passing of the comet Halley ...

No! Haha! :P

Well, on a more serious note, right now were waiting for the eMule devs who are in the middle of a reworking of the Kad code. So it would be stupid to start porting ATM. =/
Remember, the Kad network isn't stable yet, from what I know.
