/sbin/shutdown -h 5:30&
« on: September 11, 2004, 01:22:34 AM »

Hi everybody!

I am an italian user so sorry for the english.

I am using rc5 and i need to know if it has any problem with the scheduled shutdown in the title.
I mean: i will leave the machine uo and running overnight because i have to render sonme images.
Will amule get the sigterm signal right, stop and exit cleanly or will it just be killed the harsh way by init when going down???

thank you

EDIT: btw: GREAT PIECE of sw!!! i think it _is_ the most stable release yet! fast, light and stable! What do you want for nothing? rrrrrubber biscuit? (did you get it?)

Bye and thank again for you great work!

I'm sorry to say that allthough I'm not sure if it does catch the sigterm signal, I do know it fails to cleanly exit, so it most probably doesn't catch it or, at least, it doesn't process it correctly :-(
Anyway, this will definitly _not_ affect your downloads and not a signle byte of your transfers will be lost, only misc aMule data will be lost, but nothing to do with the transfers.
So, again, don't worry about it and have fun ;-)
Greetings!

ok...

i'll just order the shutdown and let amule be killed...(i've always thought about it like removing the planet from under somebody's feet...)

thank you bye
