Problems with .met file
« on: September 20, 2004, 12:20:32 AM »

Hello,

When I launch Amule, I get this message :

Error: Invalid part.met fileversion! (002.part.met => (null))
2004-09-20 00:23:03: No part files found

Can someone tells me what it means and what can I do ?

Thank you,

maybe your .met fil got corrupted. If you can, try booting into windows, and using some met-fixing utility to recover it. If you use no windows, then copy both the .met and the .part file to a windows machine and use the utility. Some utilituies that do this are donkeydoctor and met-file-regenerator.

Regards.

There is also a Java met-recover that will recover the .met file on Linux or any other Operative System. Anyway, that message sounds more like there is no .part file.
I mean, you have the 002.part.met file, but no 002.part file. Check that.
Greetings!
