is it a problem w/ the 2.6 kernel ?
« on: November 04, 2004, 12:37:12 AM »

salve e buon giorno,
hello all,

(hope its not a toooo newbie question)

i installed amule 2.0 rc7 succesfully on suse 9.0 (kernel 2.4) and it worked fine.

now i have tried it with suse9.1 and the SLES 9 and i get a prob while installing the amule.rpm
it cannot find the wxgtk2.4 (which was definetly installed earlier, same as all the other libs).

does the numbers 2.4.xxx mean that it works only with kernel 2.4.xx ?

if so: how can i upgrade to 2.6.x
if not: what is the problem ?

can you help please ?

si grazie e ciao a tutti
thanks lot

no, 2.4 is the version of wxWidgets. nothing to do with the kernel. You can use it on 2.6.x kernels too ;)

Now, as deltaHF said, do: "rpm -qa | grep wx" and post here the layout.
