i use the files from freshrpms.net (for fc3)

wxGTK-2.4.2-5.1.fc3.fr.i386.fr
wxGTK-devel-2.4.2-5.1.fc3.fr
gtk+-devel-1.2.10-33.i386.fr
wxGTK-gl-2.4.2-5.1.fc3.fr
wxGTK-stc-2.4.2-5.1.fc3.fr
wxGTK-xrc-2.4.2-5.1.fc3.fr

you can get all you need here: http://heidelberg.freshrpms.net/

hmmm... i can do this, but the wx* files from your website have some problems with other tools on fcx. The easyest way for a fedora user to run amule is to use the freshrpms wx* files.

yes, i know some files depend on distris wxgtk rpms .. but amule will not run well with it (maybe it will) cos those are mostly not ok.

and you can be sure, our experience about wxgtk is better, than the ppl who make all the linux distris

fc3 rpms
« Reply #7 on: November 10, 2004, 10:38:20 AM »

Hi!

As with all other rh and fc rpms, i will add fc3 rpms as soon as i was able to add a fc3 machine to my build park. Currenty i got plenty of work so it will take some days, but i will bring up fc3 rmps based on the same wxwidgets rpms as with rh and all other fc rpms.

Regards

;( Hi everybody,

I'm using a fresh install of fedora core 3 with the updates available today.

Installed wx* rpm from amule site, installed the above rpm.

Open a console, type amule and first got welcome screen it's the first time I ran amule. When I click button, nothing more to see.

Console got this output :
Quote
Initialising aMule
Saving userhash: C9688CF5010ECC7BCEC6649E6A486F9F
Userhash loaded: C9688CF5010ECC7BCEC6649E6A486F9F
*** UDP socket at 4665
*** UDP socket at 4672
No cryptkey.dat found, creating

Have to stop the task with ctrl C cause after 5 min, nothing changes.

When I started a second time, got :
Quote
Initialising aMule
Userhash loaded: C9688CF5010ECC7BCEC6649E6A486F9F
*** UDP socket at 4665
*** UDP socket at 4672
*** glibc detected *** corrupted double-linked list: 0x0a341f20 ***
Aborted

Can't run it  ;( ;( ;(  Somebody has a solution ?

well when you used the rpms from amule site for wxGTK
and the rpm from freshmeat for amule it cannot work

either use both rpms wxGTK and amuel from freshmeat
or have a look at the download section there is a FC3 rpm bundle.
