DEBIAN repository && ck patches
« on: December 15, 2004, 12:48:40 AM »

Hi pipol,
I made it and finally switched to debian unstable, xorg bla bla bla...
aMule is working great! always up at about 50-60 k/s (on a network limited to 80) and i am a very happy person

I'm using this rep for my apt, so i can get it as soon as it's up, and even today there has been an update

deb http://gunnm.org/~soda/ unstable main contrib

The question is: first: who mantains the repositiry? is it safe/tested?

Now i come to a more pressing question: has anybody tried amule on a 2.6.9-ck3 kernel?
i'm trying to use the ck patchset since it should optimise a lot the desktop environment, in responsivity (i'm italian...peace) and speed.

Do you know of know issues?

Thanksalot

Ciao

deb http://gunnm.org/~soda/ unstable main contrib <- soda is the aMule's debian packager. so the files you'll find on that repository are the same you'll have later in debian's official repository, since the mantainer is the same guy ;)

"Do you know of know issues?" <- if the kernel is ok there should be no problems. in fact, there's very little chance any problems can happen since I guess any kernel has the network and internet code quite tested ;)

Greetings!

i wasn't asking about the network&internet code, i was asking about display/cpu usage/ram usage on a patched kernel, not about the net...

i misexplained (sounds so weird, is it correct?) myself, sorry

bye
