Error enumerating files for dir /root/

when I reload shared files or I change shared dirs in preferences, this message appears in log. what does this mean?

That message is shown when a directory cannot be opened to read it's conntents. So check you have read+execute permissions on that dir (being /root/ dir, I don't see why you would like to share it ;))

I supposed something similar... the problem is that obviously I'm not trying to share /root !

/root is not in shareddir.dat, I checked

maybe I was wrong, this doesn't happen when I reload shared files, it happens only when I use the tree selector for sharing directories, it seems that every time I open / it try to access /root and obviously it can't.

EDIT: ok, I can confirm. I created a new directory /prova with same permissions and user of root (root:root 700) and now I can see

amule is just trying to read(not share) all dirs on your HDD and because it can't read i.e the root dir, you get such info
it's not a bug ;)

yes, but that message didn't appear with rc7 so I didn't know what it was. Could it be removed?


PS. cvs hanged 40 minutes ago (blank interface and no more traffic), it's the first time I see problems in aMule since september! i think I'll revert to rc7, I will not be at home next days, so I prefer a tested working release

Because it is normal to have this message and it just seems like an error, I changed it to a debug message.
