Hmm...you don't say which linux are you using, nor which wx libraries are you using, for me, amule has always compiled/worked fine using self-compiled wx libraries and self-compiled amule, under Mandrake 9.1/10 or Fedora Core 2/3.

Regards.

hmmmm

I dont know anyone who ever run amule under gtk+2.6.0
this is still kinda untested...this might be a wxGTk problem or something else..

have you tryed wx-cvs? since wxGTK 2.5.3 is out before gtk+2.6.0 and wx-cvs might already have some fixes for gtk2.6...

and then amule might work for ya

but this is just a guess..

I'm under Ubuntu (Debian)
I'm using wXGTK 2.5.3
I could try out a CVS version. Are they also available on their website?

I'll give it a try, when I'm at home.
thanks for the help

yeah

you can get wx-cvs from theri website...
check out http://www.amule.org/wiki/index.php/Wx-cvs
for a little howto ;)

I think also we have a link on our wiki.amule.org in section "insatlling different wxWidgets"
so you can have 2 different or even more installed...might be helpfull

thanks for your help. amule rc8 is now working fine also with webserver and amuleweb.
I hope it won't crash. I let it run during the night.

for the wxWidgets cvs, I got errors while ./configure with the same option I did 2.3.5
Will try on that later.
