search options geographically misarranged
« on: December 22, 2004, 01:07:24 PM »

The new arrangemant of buttons and boxes in extended search options are a plain mess since rc7, please go back to the rc5 layout.

The way it's arranged now it appears like:
-minimum size belongs to file type
-maximum size belongs to category along with the "extended search" button
-availability belongs to the file type box

Simply doesn't make sense.

Oh, and by the way, rc7 doesn't remember the local/global search setting here, in case nobody mentioned it yet.

Hmm...I had already noticed the "not remembering local/global search" bug, but had forgot to mention it. It's annoying though. also, would like to see the famous "more" button from amule, which fetches more results from the server...

Regards.

Well, I don't really agree ont he organization complains, but I can comment on the 'not remembering global/local search' "bug". Is not a bug. Default for searches is local, and everytime you restart, default is local. That's to avoid people using global search too muhc, which harms both servers and clients.

About the 'more' button, there's no way that can be implemented in any ed2k client.
